I was born in Tucson, AZ but grew up in Korea and moved back to the States at age 14. I attended dental school at Midwestern University in Illinois and have been practicing dentistry since 2015. I have recently moved to the Pacific Northwest and I am excited to live a little bit closer to my family.
When I was a kid I did not realize the importance of taking care of my teeth so I had to go through a lot of dental visits. I understand the dental anxiety that patients feel and now as a dentist, I want to be able to calm patients and to communicate with patients throughout the treatment to provide a better experience at the dental office.
The best part of my job is that I am able to restore the oral health and transform patients smile.
I grew up in Mesa Arizona and went to Arizona State University where I received my bachelors degree in Nutrition. I then attended dental school in Oregon Health and Science University where he graduated Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry.
I met my wife while attending dental school at OHS, after graduating our family relocated to the Olympia Washington area. My wife and I are the proud parents of 2 beautiful daughters. We have 2 more little ones on the way that will be joining our family in the next few months.
As a kid growing up, I had a childhood role model of mine that was a dentist. I wanted to be just like him and so naturally I began looking into dentistry as a career from an early age. I have since come to appreciate the many aspects of dentistry including health promotion, patient education and being able to utilize artistic skills to create beautiful smiles.
My favorite part of the job is the everyday patient interaction. I have found that a career in dentistry provides a sense of personal fulfillment in helping others maintain their health and appearance. I look forward to the challenge of a lifetime of learning in dentistry.
